This caller had a 13 teen year old boy with acute hepatitis b caught from a school boxing club in rural UK. He had cut his eyebrow and the other boy had a minor nose bleed. We gave a list of usual acute advice lots of rest, zero painkillers, zero anti biotics, but sadly as youngsters often do he failed to clear. The response above was related to pointing out that the diagnosed early on seldom progress to liver illness far less liver cancer and the power of the vaccine for protecting his siblings
