Hello Paul, Thank you so much for your help earlier this year and putting my mind at ease about Acute Hepatitis B. Thankfully it seems that I have cleared the virus as my last blood tests showed antibodies and no sigh of the virus. My question, which I did pose to the specialist, is, does this mean that my blood is no longer a risk to others? For example, would you still advise close family and sexual partners still to be vaccinated? Or does this mean that I have cleared the virus and I am immune, as if I'd have been vaccinated against the virus? Sufice to say that I always err on the side of caution, so am living as if I my blood still poses a risk to others. It would be a tremendous weight off my mind however if, now that I appear to have cleared the virus, wounds would pose no risk to others. Thank you in advance for taking the time to read and answer my questions. Regards

This question really sums things up, of course every specialist would say you are no risk have sex, but in the rush and in the time constraint and plus they never say sex without saying safe meaning condoms. The man came away without knowing if he is actually safe. Crazy eh? but very common. We explained he is now so safe we can take his body fluid blood and use it to vaccinate people and make them immune to hepatitis b. We also use any infection in the family as a chance to get GP's to protect the rest of the family and all living co habitors with vaccinations.
