Gum clinics can turn around a not infected for hbv test in a day and this is important advice for any loving father just diagnosed with HBV. We often tell dad to take the teenage kids along as well as the wife and get the all clear fast. This poor guy diagnosed on a Friday had not slept by Monday after googling 100 times more infectious in the saliva type stuff. GP offered an appointment for Friday then the appointments for the family were looking like another 2 weeks then the tests were at least a 6 day wait. Basically people need answers fast and taking a month can send some people quite crazy with the wrong information.
