Good day! Im from the philippines and currently working as a nurse. Im am inffected with hepB since i was a child, i got it from my mother, also my other siblung have this kind of problem. I want to go to UK or Australia, do you think they will allow me to practice my Profession there? What are the best thing that i should do, so that i can work abroad?

With the large amount of phillopino nurses who contact us we stress that their HBV is best made undetectable on Tenofovir and then there is no need to declare it and blood tests will of course not reveal it. The NHS will pay for the tenofovir is the HBV is active eg affecting alts scores or viral loading above 200,000IU/ml if inactive the nurse may have to buy it privately at a cost of £3000 a year or so. Many nurses in the UK have HBV and it is best to come and earn here so as to afford the medicines most nurses earning 35,000 plus these days, depending on speciality. I have heard of chemo nurses earning 100,000 and 111 helpline nurses on 72. The 111 type post is non exposure prone and best place to start.
