I hope you are well. Thanks a lot for the info and the reassurance you gave me when I called.I had my appt today with Dr Alison and he was very reassuring.He did a comprehensive blood test for hep b.so am waiting for results.Thanks
Turns out it was an old resolved infection as you said, why do they worry us so much? And not know negative means negative!

This poor guy is a qualified NHS dentist and one hospital read his HBV test which was
HBsAg negative
HBs anti negative
HBcAb positive

and decided he may reactivate and harm patients Mid Staffs Trust would be the idiots that thought this while sending him for more tests and a hepatology consultant appointment with Dr Alison meanwhile Coventry NHS Trust at the same time said aha great results and had him in straight away. The poor dentist admitted Mid Staffs not understanding his results had led to the worst 3 weeks of his life.
