Good morning
Just yesterday I had my doctor run a general test on me to ascertain my current health state. Meanwhile, the night before I had symptoms of Fever and general body weakness; that was what informed my decision to carry out the test upon the advice of my doctor.
When th results came out few hours later I was shocked to be told that I tested positive to the hepatitis B virus. Prior this time, the only major illness I ever had was peptic ulcer; for which I was treated and eventually got better.Apart from that, I have always been very sound and healthy. My doctor went further to carry out a liver function test. The result, according to him shows that my liver is still normal. Though he said the virus may been in my system for over six months now. Hence, we may be dealing with a Chronic situation. He placed me on some oral medication while he referred me to a specialist (a gastroenterologist) to further carry out a more specialized test on me. He even recommended a liver ultra sound scan.I shall be meeting with the specialist in two days time. In the meantime, I started checking the internet since yesterday trying to find out as much as I can about the HEP B virus. In the course of doing so, I stumbled on your website.I sincerely require you kind assistance as to the following: A. The vital questions I need to ask the specialist as regards subsequent tests, treatment procedures, etc. B. Best ways to manage this conditions personally to ensure I overcome it (where possible), and to ensure I do not pass it to my colleagues, other members of my family; especially my spouse who has been living oversees for over three years now and is billed to return home in a few months time. C. If my spouse, is not already infected, how possible is it for us to have sexual intercourse without infecting her with the virus? Your timely and candid advice would be most welcomed and appreciated. Kind regards.

The oral medicine will be for the peptic ulcer which is most likely the cause of your symptoms ulcers are pretty tiring all round I had a duodenal and they are painful and exhausting.
With the HBV firstly don't panic everything is now manageable and the team to help is booked up. For the lady wife a 21 day vaccination course will have her safe and sound and immune from hbv quickly, it is only about 10 % of partners who are infected so that will be unlikely. Most HBV is from childhood and that is probably where you got this infection back in your nation of origin where the HBV is very common. The method of getting the best out of the team is very much to realise what you can do and what they can do. They will be checking to see if the HBV is active and a threat to your health or inactive and simply there and an infectious threat in your blood, making your razor and wounds the bigger risk. the children that live with you are also in need of vaccination.
The liver team will do HBV panel of tests to see if the HBV is large or small in amount and confirm it is an older lasting infection. Then they will do a full liver function set of tests to see if it has had or is having any effect. Then they will do a liver scan to check that no liver damage has occurred either when you were first infected or subsequently. We recommend to patients to take a partner to meetings at least once as it helps them understand things and often can create a better understanding. Get the blood tests and ultra sound scan done Before you see the liver team as then all the facts needed for a good discussion and planning are to hand. We also recommend asking the team to insist on a 21 day rapid vaccination for your partner of the GP if they are doing it, no point in dragging it out for 6 months. Also ask if there is a contact number for the unit if you are offered medications by the GP over the years as they are the best people to OK such things.
Then the best trick with ongoing annual meetings is to ask for copies of liver test and write down questions and pass them over, we even recommend to patients with poor English or more nervous types to phone record answers for playback although not all docs are too happy with that
With what we can do initially its learn and learn the HBV pack so we get good at vaccinations blood hygiene diet, toxins to avoid and our end of things for 80% of HBV patients in the UK our kitchen is pretty much the treatment from start to finish so efforts to shop well and live right cover things.
Finally the emotions are also important and speaking candidly to this patient we said "HBV for most of us is either a thorn or a crucifix and it is up to us to decide." Some insist on deciding they are gonna die and others decide how they are going to live so to speak.

Hi doc.
I just diagnosed with HIV positive. At the same time, I also diagnosed with hepp b. I am now undertaking HAART pills that was prescribed by my doc. The pills are tenofovir and Efavirens. My doctor said the pills should suppress the hepp b virus in my liver. I just take the pills for about a week. So far no major side effects such as diarrhea, nausea, wierd dream or headchache. I just feel a bit of dizziness and my body fells a bit light and tired.
Somehow, I start feeling pain at my upper abdomen the below my chest at the right side of my body. Probably the liver area. For your information, my cd4 number is 330 when I start taking the pills. Somehow, the doctor said they will see what they can do for my hepp b next year after my cd4 increase and my viral load for hiv is undetectable. What should I do now and what are the things that I need to discuss with my doctor here...
Kindly advice. Your advice will be appreciated.

Am still very surprise about this miracles, I don't know whom to believe anymore, all the Dr and scientist said there is no cure for hepatitis B, but i contacted this clinic health med lab who claim they have permanent cure and your hepatitis B will be negative, i doubted them cause there are a lot of fraud in the internet these days, but i just have to give a try and when they ask for money for the medication, i totally disagree with them.
They said if they can trust me with this medicine, that they are going to send the medication to me and i will use it as instructed and after 2 Months of usage that i will be free from hepatitis B then i will send them double of the amount, i accept and sign a lot of document to prove to them am willing to do anything if their medication can cure me,which we accepted, this is the 4th Month now and i have tested 5 times the result still remain negative, am so happy and i promise them to tell the world about them and WHO is going through their lab to make it public to the whole world to get access with their medication, here is their private email healthmedlab@gmail.com email them to get access to their website and other information you might need. thanks Isabelle Swanker.
