My partner is terrified of my HBV infecting him

This partner was suffering Obsessive compulsive disorder, his wife a nurse had gone back to nursing without checking her immunity level and caught HBV from the job, her level of hbv had subsided to a 1500IU/ml level, basically undetectable as a viable transmission level but he could not understand that. We had the problem where as a nurse she was fine to practice but as a partner her man was in apermanent panic. He eventually acted so badly after having a baby with a c section she had a massive bleed and he took the baby and left her all alone. Finally they split up. Her call "Paul I am bleeding and he has taken the baby and left" is one I will not forget. We had to get the ambulance and then get him to bring the baby back. In his defence OCD is a crippling mental problem and HBV just is described in a way to send such people quite nuts. Baby was vaccinated and so he had to think of his wife not himself and the baby. She is still working and in touch with a new and much more supportive partner.
