Hi Paul, thank you again for your advice, the doctors have agreed that it would be best for the boys to be vaccinated, and they start it next week, I think it was your letter that gave the added nudge. Thanks again for your support.

This lady had 3 boys who for many years primary and secondary had 3 best friends living close by. During a mass sleep over it came out as a result of the lad with HBV being cut that he had HBV. The worry was a tree climbing effort wherein a sharp hand hold had scratched 2 uninfected and the 1 infected lad. So testing all round was recommended, then the GP as usual said not his job to HBV vaccinate the boys at proven risk. We wrote to the practice pointing out the sorrow felt by both families at segregating these young lads and finally got the 3 uninfected boys vaccinated on the NHS. Sadly is not the normal state and we have had parents ban the HBV friend as vaccinations were just unaffordable. What is utterly stupid id the Government has planned to finally vaccinate all new borns at some point yet offer no catch up vaccinations to the 12 million children now at risk. In the Somali community we noted 8.7% of under 5's had caught HBV and yet no one has ever been allowed to know, this CRIME against UK children has been going on for decades. They are testing 0.7% incurably infected for HBV 2000 to 2013 and we are not allowed to know!
