Hi there, I spoke to you this morning about my partner in the military who has been told there may be hep b antigens in his blood. I would be grateful if you could send me information for him, a better explanation, support for those in his profession and any other advice, I would also appreciate any info for myself, for my health, minimising risks, intimate relations, and ways I can support him really. Thanks for the chat earlier; it really is a brilliant organisation, especially for those who have found it difficult to cope with.

The military catch HBV on the job in a big way, basic training is a serious blood sport with lots of people. Anyway the UK along with forgetting boots and decent armoured vehicles and compo for Gulf War Syndrome in Iraq 1 and 2 wars has often forgot hbv vaccinations. I have even heard of troops getting their shots from the americans when on tour. Sadly when diagnosed troops are taken off combat duties also. Weird they can blast people into blood stained fragments but not infect them with HBV!? Anyway got her vaccinated and him a liver friendly diet and a liver consultant.
