Dear Paul, I have been meaning to write to you since we spoke last Wednesday as I wanted to let you know how grateful I am to you for your phone call. You really did give me the reassurance I needed the day after being told that I have had exposure to Hepatitis B. You made me feel so much calmer; that there is hope and that all is not lost. After speaking with you, your advice helped me to reassure my husband and explain things in a much more qualified way and I am deeply grateful for that. You are doing an excellent job and I'm sure you must help many more people out there who feel like me every single day and I really admire you for that. Thank you so much. I am still waiting for my detailed results (it's very difficult waiting!) but expect to get them in the next day or two. I will certainly be in touch again over email once I get these so that I can get your perspective on them and ask for your advice. Many thanks again

This caller was a child carer in a nursery and dealt with a toddler both teething and bleeding after an accident. We get a lot of infections reported from this age group and the lady was as ever very worried after the mum concerned bravely came forward and disclosed the girls HBV. Thank Goodness the women bled on had no wounds of her own, eczema and cutical wounds are just always getting people with them infected, and she had the brains to wash the blood off with hot water promptly another important point. Results came through clear but Nursery Owner allowed one mouthy worker to talk them out of vaccinating the staff. Sadly they are in an endemic for HBV London community nursery. The champion for the vaccines for staff along with the lady above was of course from overseas where no child is allowed in school without HBV vaccination immunity certification.
