First test reactive and second test negative

I am totally confused about my recent results. I was told that a capillary self test I did earlier in the month was ‘reactive’ and that I needed to repeat the test. I went to another clinic and had a venous blood sample taken which they told me today when I called them was “negative”? How can I get one reactive and one negative test within the space of three weeks? Completely worried and confused.
