Hi all, long story short, I had sex with a chronic hep B partner twice, within the span of 2 weeks (both times with protection). Both times, although I used a condom, I might have gotten a bit of vaginal fluid on my dick/pubic area. She secretes a lot of fluid, and there were instances where she/I play with my dick while the hands were wet with fluid.
A few days after both encounters, I got my blood test results back for an STD check which was completely clean (Blood was drawn after first sexual encounter). Important point to note was that I had no hep b antibodies, despite being immunised when I was a baby. I was a non responder. She assured that I would be safe if I’m immunised but she did not realise I was the 10% who does not respond to the vaccine.
I immediately of course signed up for a twinrix vaccine. I just got my first jab yesterday. My doc said I could continue having sex as long as I used a rubber, but I’m really not sure if he’s being nonchalant or I’m being paranoid? Bear in mind that my blood test being spotless might not mean that I’m clear of the Hep b virus, as it takes about a month to show up. Right now I’m afraid that I might have gotten the Hep B virus without knowing it at all.
I’d really appreciate some feedback about this, I’m part angry that my partner did not disclose this info sooner, and I’m also part paranoid. Thanks
